Gide Plug® Collagen Wound Dressing is a white, porous, pliable and absorbable collagen wound dressing. Gide Plug® Collagen Wound Dressing is fabricated by a fibrous collagen matrix purified from bovine origin.

Gide Plug® Collagen Wound Dressing is pliable and can be applied easily to oral wounds to protect the wound bed. The product is supplied in a sterile, non-pyrogenic package and is indicated for single-use only.

The highly porous sponge structure absorbs blood, wound secretions and promotes platelet aggregation.
Filling wounds with Gide Plug® can prevent persistent cracks caused by the contraction of the blood clot or bacterial infection from saliva contamination.

Highly purified type I Collagen

Gide Plug® Collagen Wound Dressing is made from high-purity natural type 1 collagen extracted from bovine tendon tissue.

Sufficient porosity [1]

The type-1 collagen plug is the least complex filling material that can be used for the management of alveolar ridge preservation.

The pure type-1 collagen plug Gide Plug® has sufficient porosity for post-operative blood penetration and promotes socket wound healing by stabilising the blood clot in the extraction socket, covering the extraction socket and forming new granulation tissue.
